Sam's mission is to provide high-quality, engaging yoga sessions and coaching accessible to everyone. She believes yoga and breath-work can help improve physical mental and emotional health, and is committed to sharing her knowledge and making 'yoga' achievable and meaningful for everyone regardless of their experience, age or individual ability.
Practicing yoga since 2008, and teaching now for more than 15 years, Sam initially stumbled upon a class as a way to combat and manage stress. Quickly noticing the benefits yoga offered, she allowed it to become a regular part of her life, which lit up the pathway for inner peace to flourish.
Immersing herself in all things yoga (and diving) she travelled to Dahab in the Sinai desert, Egypt, where she discovered it's magic and abundant energy, living with a community of Bedouin families gave her a unique perspective on life, and offered space for growth and reflection. This is where her teaching journey began.
Sam trained with Sunra Yoga, (Sivananda Hatha), in 2011 and has been teaching ever since. As her career evolved, her focus has moved towards a whole-person approach to health and wellbeing, recently completing a Teaching Yoga for Cancer course which deepened her understanding of therapeutic yoga and opened-up a new area of interest, in adapting yoga to support people through a range of life challenges and health conditions.
“Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees. B.K.S. Iyengar
